– Developed under CNGI, National Project. – Backbone traffic is as large as CERNET with IPv4. – Many technologies have been developed.

Japan formed the project on IPv4 Depletion recently.

 Many companies joined.  Government funded the project.  Organized various workshops in Japan (as well as

in Asia).

IPv6 Forum organizes two workshops every year.

 Government is funding the Forum.  Government also funds various projects.
