IPv6 Ready Logo Programs

  • Extensive Interoperability and Conformance

tesOng Requirements for IPv6 stacks.

– All MUSTS and SHOULD tested within standard RFC

  • IPv6 Core
  • DHCPv6
  • CE Router (RFC 7084 )

Requirements: 100% pass Conformance & Interoperability

TesOng Process

  • Products have a choice to self test or go to an

IPv6 Ready Lab for tesOng.

  • Results must be a 100% Pass for Conformance

and Interoperability

  • Interoperability TesOng requires tesOng

against 4 interoperability partners.

  • Captures and Results files are kept to be

submiMed for review when applying for the Logo.

Test SpecificaOon

  • Openly available to the public for comment.
  • Based on IETF standards tesOng the MUST and

SHOULDs in the standard.

  • IPv6 Ready Technical CommiMee of volunteers

from approved labs review any comments and implements changes to the test specificaOons.

  • Also discuss reviewing any test issues

discovered by labs during the tesOng process.

ApplicaOon Process

  • Online ApplicaOon
  • ApplicaOon process includes:

– Contact Info, Device Info, Test Results

  • Usage Agreement for use of IPv6 Ready Logo

must be completed before examinaOon begins

  • Once the applicaOon is received it is distributed

to the Regional lab for the examinaOon

  • ExaminaOon Report then routed to Chair for final

approval

Product Logo Usage

  • If a series of products use idenOcal networking

stacks, that product series will be accepted with an applicaOon.

  • If a new product version does not change the

network stack, vendor can update the registered version by submidng an applicaOon (no test logs needed).

  • If a new product version changes the networking

IPv6 stack it is required to retest and resubmit.

Orgs Leveraging the Logo

  • IPv6 Ready Logo Program currently has over 1000

test cases for tesOng IPv6 protocols (SLAAC, DHCP, IPSec, IKEv2 and CE Router).

  • Profiles and Test Programs have the ability to

leverage exisOng test cases.

– Example USGv6 Test Program uses IPv6 Ready Logo tests selecOng test cases that apply to USGv6 Test Profile.

  • Allows ImplementaOons to work towards several

different programs at once.
