Well Drago…. underground are 500 km of sewer pipes taking it to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Can we check it out?

Natural bugs (microscopic organisms) are grown here to treat the wastewater. They’re even fed alcohol to give them more energy! Cool. I wish I could see them!
Look how clean it is now that the sludge has settled out. Later this treated effluent will be sprayed onto Whakarewarewa Forest. Can we take a look at that too!
Were those swimming pools back there? No mate. Those ponds store the treated effluent. Each day it’s sprayed on the forest and passes through wetlands and mother earth before entering waterways again.
Any phosphorus that was still in the treated effluent is held in these volcanic soils. Cool! This looks great! Waipa Stream
