Important events

NSB Group  6 000 Norwegians have named NSB «Norways most sustainable company 2018» in the Sustainable Brand Index, the Nordic regions largest brand survey on sustainability.  NSB har signed a letter of intent for rental of electric city cars in Oslo. The agreemnet has been signed with the company GreenMobility, which offers city cars in Copenhagen. Passenger train  On the 28th of February 2018, the new traffic agreements between the Norwegian Railway Directorate (Jernbanedirektoratet) and NSB Persontog and NSB Gjøvikbanen were signed. The traffic agreements expire 2022 and 2024 respectively.  NSB's offer for “Trafikkpakke Sør” was presented to the Norwegian Railway Directorate just before Easter. In October the decision will be made regarding which train company will operate Sørlandsbanen, Jærbanen and Arendalsbanen from 15th of December 2019. Bus  Nettbuss has been rewarded four contracts in the tender in Romerike from 2019. The contracts have an annual revenue of

  • approx. 390 MNOK.

 Nettbuss entered a contract with Belgian Van Hool for the purchase of 44 metro buses for use in the tender in Trondheim from

  • 2019. The purchase of metro buses will form the basis of the new public transport offer by bus from August 2019.

 Nettbuss puts three electric buses in operation in Østersund (Sweden). This is the first contract for Nettbuss in Sweden where electric buses are included in the operation. Freight  Biltema has chosen CargoNet as transporting company from Sweden to Norway. Travel  Flåmsbana had close to one million travels in 2017. Most of the sale is made during the summer season, and preorders indicate a continuing positive trend both for Flåmsbana and Fjord Tours in 2018.
