Important events

  • Common brand for passenger transport
  • The NSB Group launched its new name, the Vy Group, on March 12th, and from April 24th the name was used actively.
  • Solid improvement in the punctuality of trains in Norway
  • Passenger trains were 88.7 per cent on time during the last four months, and over 90 per cent in the last two months.
  • More satisfied customers
  • Customer satisfaction in the passenger trains improved to 74 points from71 for the same period last year
  • More customers in the trains
  • In the first four months of 2019 the number of train journeys in Norway increased by 6 per cent compared to the same period last

year.

  • New contract with Ruter
  • Vy won the tender in Ruter Region Vest (Asker, Slemmestad, Røyken / Hurum), with commencement in 2020.
  • Aid scheme for freight traffic on rail
  • The Government has proposed an aid scheme for freight transfer from road to rail, which will last up to three years.
  • Founding of Vy Fjord1 Reiseliv AS
  • Fjord1 has been chosen as a partner, and Vy Fjord1 Reiseliv was founded in April 2019.
  • Launch of Din bybil (electric city cars
  • On January 3 a completely new car sharing service, Din Bybil, with 250 electric cars was launched in Oslo
