iJAG = Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates Private National non-profit corporation established in 1999 94% of students graduate High School 24% are first generation of their families to graduate High School Students grade point average increase .3 each year Serving 2,800 students per year in 49 programs (35 schools) 17 communities
37 Core Competencies Leadership Skills, team building activities, employability skills, service learning projects, and much more PBL’s all work done are Project Based Learning. Students enjoy this because the majority of the skills we practice and/or work on in class are hands on and active iJAG programs are classified for “credit” elective in school. The students will earn credit each year for being in iJAG. iJAG is preparing Iowa’s young students to be more responsible, respectful, productive employees, customers, and citizens. Want-Need-Benefit
Each month we college data on the following: 1. How many days have our iJAG Students missed in the month 2. The number of behavioral referrals the iJAG students have had 3. The number of F’s each iJAG student has
Each month we write a Principal Report. This includes an class update, progress report and comparisons, and photos from classroom activities.
Each week, we take one das as an ‘AR Day’. AR Day is used to work on missing or late
getting out students on track to graduate, which we need passing grades for!
Each program is required to raise $350 for their program! The $350 raised goes back into the program; anything raised over $350 can be spent on things like iJAG shirts, end of year celebrations, college applications, etc. MHS: Sold Mrs. Fields Cookies MMS: Chili Cookoff coming up!
Each student in the iJAG Program is required to do at least 15 hours of community service throughout the year! MHS: Food Drive/Trash Days MMS: ARL Volunteering

At the beginning of the year, we wrote our expectations as a class. We set expectations for what I expect from the student and what the student expects from the teacher. All students were required to sign out expectation board to ensure we all understood and were on the same page.
