This contributes to delivering their sustainability strategies; their commitment to the environment and their promise to shareholders to meet their CSR targets. Why burn your waste transformer oil adding to global warming when you can re-refine the oil which moves electricity through a myriad of transformers to American homes? The American Carbon Registry (“ACR”) has approved Hydrodec’s rigorous emissions reduction accounting methodology to generate carbon credits for every ton of carbon dioxide displaced by recycling transformer oil. The methodology provides an accounting framework to quantify emission reductions achieved by diverting used transformer oil, which under polluting conditions would be incinerated at the end of its useful life, to a re- refining facility that processes the transformer oil for re-use. Hydrodec has generated more than a quarter of a million CO2 credits According to the Californian Air Resources Board, Climate Change Program, this is equivalent to more than: One year of electricity use by 32,000 average U.S. households 139,000 tons of waste being recycled instead of going to a landfill 54,000 passenger cars not driven for one year
