PROJECT MANAGEMENT WEBSITE

  • Case:
  • Need for a process by which the MiniMed IT and user community will develop, submit,

prioritize, approve and report on all IT related projects.

  • To ensure that limited IT resources are properly allocated for justifiable business

requirements that add value to the entire organization

  • Solution:
  • Web-based interface between IT and clients (Appendix A)
  • Self-service portal where:
  • Users can request new projects
  • Department approvers can review/approve/decline projects, prioritize them and

submit to IT

  • IT can review/approve/decline projects, prioritize them and submit to upper

management

  • Users can monitor progress of their projects
  • Website customized for each user (each user can see projects related to his

department)

  • Impact:
  • Process will establish a method for gathering service request and assigning them to

team members based on business priorities

  • Provides a standardized, one-stop methodology for all IT work-request, formal review

and approval process.

KMA METRICS

  • Case:
  • Marketing uses a CRM (Customer Relations Management) system called KMA

(Kana Marketing Analytics) that provides automated methods to establish and maintain contact with prospective customers

  • Goal was to measure the effectiveness of various KMA Campaigns
  • Solution:
  • Database-driven collection of web-pages (Appendix B)
  • Each page offers distinct statistics of each of these campaigns
  • These statistics have 3 levels of drill-down capability to facilitate a user in getting

details on each number under each category

  • Impact:
  • Help client (Marketing) quantify the success of their campaigns and determine the

most effective contributors to sales

MMSALES ONLINE HELP

  • Case:
  • To facilitate new and current users with real time description of the functionality and

making the site user-friendly

  • Solution:
  • Online Help
  • Impact:
  • This project will help all the website users (Sales Management team and Sales

Reps) understand and trace the new features available on MMsales and use it to their benefit

  • It also provides a description of the latest tools added

to the website
