Increasing Choice – what it all means
What we are hearing from advocates
- Home Care providers are choosing to set a $0 exit amount
- Consumers notified of a reduction in administration and case
management charges made to their home care package budget
- Consumers told to agree to changes to their home care agreement
without consultation
- Large deficits appearing on the consumer’s monthly statement, or
the balance of unspent funds each month not rolling over to the next month
What we want advocates to do
- Review the checklists, fact sheets, videos and webinars to find the
information to assist you to understand the changes to home care.
