What we are hearing from advocates

  • Home Care providers are choosing to set a $0 exit amount
  • Consumers notified of a reduction in administration and case

management charges made to their home care package budget

  • Consumers told to agree to changes to their home care agreement

without consultation

  • Large deficits appearing on the consumer’s monthly statement, or

the balance of unspent funds each month not rolling over to the next month

What we want advocates to do

  • Review the checklists, fact sheets, videos and webinars to find the

information to assist you to understand the changes to home care.

  • You can download the checklists and fact sheets to hand out to

consumers and service providers

program

  • We have also produced the Your guide to home care package

services booklet and the Your pathway to accessing a home care package.

  • These can be viewed at the Help at home tab on

www.myagedcare.gov.au
