What are the requirements to be placed in honors classes in 7th Grade if you are not in ALP? There is no longer an honors test given at the junior high. The requirements are: ( 3 out of 4 need to be met)

  • Teacher Recommendation
  • Grades of A’s and B’s last 8 Quarters
  • End of Year Test- Highly Proficient
  • AZ Merit Score- Highly Proficient
  • If you do have CogAT (honors test) Scores of 90 or higher, then you can

be placed in honors classes.

Spanish Program at GrJHS

GREENFIELD JR. HIGH is proud to offer Spanish as an Elective class that can earn you HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT! Spanish 1A is the first year of Spanish and can be taken either 7th or 8th grade. You can earn high school credit if you successfully take Spanish 1A in 7th AND Spanish 1B in 8th

  • grade. Both years emphasizes conversational Spanish, basic vocabulary, and will let you explore the

traditions of other cultures. Join us!.

What will you learn?

  • How to talk to someone in Spanish

  • Study Spanish speaking cultures and

traditions.

This is an exploratory course in the study of

with emphasis on simple conversation patterns, basic vocabulary, culture, geography, and history. The course will also compare each language and culture to

at high schools in GPS in order for students to explore the Foreign Language learning experience prior to making elective choices.
