❏ Review of the GPA average process begun nearly a year ago ❏ June 2016 - Superintendent recommends to BOE that this process continue in the 2016-17 school year
❏ Review research that was compiled; continue to gather as well as plan for the collection of additional research ❏ Create district-wide committee to involve various stakeholders
❏ A committee will be created with community stakeholders & district members ❏ 4 Parents: North (2) South (2) ❏ 2 Students: North (1) South (1) ❏ 2 Guidance Counselors: North (1) South (1) ❏ 2 Teachers: North (1) South (1) ❏ 2 BOE Members ❏

❏ Use Fish Bowl Concept to promote audience participation ❏ Foster an element of trust among all members of the committee ❏ Come together to review research ❏ Engage all members in constructive debate ❏ Seek to understand before being understood ❏ Attach rationale to talking points ❏ Following constructive debate, commit to a decision as a group that we believe is in the best interest of students ❏ Hold each other accountable as a group to our commitment
❏ Superintendent shares group’s vision with the BOE and the community ❏ If committee is unable to reach a common vision, Superintendent shares administration regulation with BOE and community by December 2016 ❏ Changes to GPA go into effect for the 2017-2018 school year
