Graduation Requirements are: 30 credits for a Manitoba High School Diploma 34 credits for a W.C. Miller Collegiate High School Diploma
Most grade 11s will have 24-30 credits by June 2018. In Grade 12 there are 3 compulsory courses leaving room for 7 elective courses. Grade 12 students must have 3 credits per semester. Graduation requires students to have at least two 40S electives.
Students pursuing a grade 11 or 12 English credit will have the opportunity to select from a variety of courses. Students must choose one English credit for each of their grade 11 and grade 12 years, but may take additional credits with a maximum of one per category per year. Each ELT (Transactional Focus) course may only be taken once for credit. Literature and Comprehensive Focus courses may be taken in grade 11 and grade 12. Students are expected to take English courses at their grade level.
