Site Location A Good Neighbor  Offered use of Commons Parking lot to neighborhood during Monroe Street Construction  Added parking to school lot to reduce neighborhood congestion Add Community Benefit Photos  Replaced all parking lot lighting to LED fixtures to accommodate neighbor request  Open facilities for neighborhood needs  Open field daily for neighborhood usage early morning to dusk  Reduced Woodrow traffic at neighbors request with central drive, removing existing baseball and tennis courts

Site Location A Good Neighbor  Improve communications as a regular member of the neighborhood liaison committee  Participated in the master planning process to build a better neighborhood Add Community Benefit Photos  More than 200 current families, alumni, or past parents of alumni currently live in Dudgeon Monroe or Vilas Neighborhood

Site Location A Community Partner  Hosting the Urban League MLK breakfast for 32 years  Host “Edgewood in the Community Day”, a day of 3600 hours to the neighborhood and community  Support and generate support for neighboring businesses  Host neighborhood farmers market  Provide Badger football parking to minimize neighborhood on-street parking  On-going year long neighborhood and community service projects

  8. Site Location A Community Partner  Host Annual Kiwanis pancake breakfast  Host off-site parking for Henry Vilas Zoo events  51% of Edgewood graduates remain in the community after college

  9. Site Location Outreach Effort to Date Efforts to date: 1.) Hosted two listening sessions in 2017 with neighbors to gather feedback 2.) Worked with design team to address comments 3.) Visited existing (Waunakee) facilities with LED fixtures with Liaison Committee 4.) Working with City, Liaison Committee & Neighborhood Associations to distribute information about the amendment 5.) Presented to the City Development Assistance Team (Departments) 6.) Held 3 additional Informational Presentations (Vilas Neighborhood Board, Dudgeon Monroe Neighborhood Board, Liaison Committee)

Scheduling Conflicts • Prior Middleton agreement no longer feasible • Majority of existing facilities already heavily booked • Current season has 3 different “home fields” • Locations for 3 games this year were not finalized until just before season started.

  17. Site Location What has Changed…Why Now? Student & Parent Impacts • Travel impacts students and families for both schools • Reduces time in studies for students and fans due to travel time Advancement of Technology • Lighting technology has significantly improved with enhanced LED fixtures

  18. What does proposed facility look like? Site Location Proposal: • 1,200 seats (WIAA requirement) • Concessions, storage, restrooms and team rooms located beneath seats. Dimensions: • 150 wide • 26’ tall to press box • 22’ tall to back of stands • 450’ from stands to far side of Woodrow Street • 395’ from stands to far side of Monroe Street
