Work – Pedestrians and Cyclists

+ Some work will lead to partial closures of the multipurpose path and complete

closures of the sidewalk

  • Replacement of guardrails – winter 2017 to summer 2018
  • Painting and steel work in various sections – fall 2017 to winter 2021
  • Installation of ducts and fibre optics – spring 2018 to summer 2019

+ Goal to maintain bicycle and pedestrian path open during the day

  • Optimize night closures

+ Pilot project to keep the multipurpose path open this winter

  • Sidewalk and multipurpose path closed

+ Street teams and community teams deployed in the area + A street worker is creating ties with the community + Training of JCCBI field staff + Urgent situations must be reported to the SPVM + You can call JCCBI or Spectre de rue if you see homeless people

Pilot project: Mobile container collection site

Partnership with Les Valoristes

+ Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the corner of De Maisonneuve and De Lorimier (from July to September 2017) + A new container collection site for people in the sector who have reduced mobility + Meeting with new Les Valoristes to understand their profile and needs in order to provide adapted services and help reduce the risk of homelessness + 275,000 returnable containers collected and $20,000 received in bottle and can deposits (before the last collection)
