YEAR 2018, uncertainty in measurement, the national metrology laboratory of the Philippines – they will standing on a place highlighted in the history of GMA. EVER since GMA began its services of HRD in metrology in 2013, the venue of all of its service programs has been the campus of KRISS in Korea. In view of creating better and more benefits and advantages for customers, GMA has long been looking for an opportunity

  • f its outreaching service to be conducted on site of
  • customers. At the request of the National Metrology

Laboratory of the Philippines (NML-Phil), GMA conducted its very first outreaching service of HRD in metrology in 2018 on site of the customer, the Philippines. Dr. Chu-Shik Kang of KRISS paid a visit to the NML-Phil in a company with Sangwook Seo, senior coordinator of GMA. THE one-week program led by Dr. Kang presented uncertainty in measurement for 13 participants who are from the different laboratories of the NML-Phil of the

  • ITDI. It is told that participants found it much satisfactory

with what they learned from Dr. Kang, who taught them basic concept to practical estimation with different

  • samples. Meanwhile, Sangwook Seo shared the results of

his recent study on HRD in metrology with the management of the NML-Phil. T

  • make the project a

success, Mr. Kiveen and Ms. Monalisa of NML-Phil closely worked together with GMA from beginning to the end. GMA looks forward to more opportunities to extend its outreaching service for other NMIs in time to come.
