Burrard Marina Upgrades

  • Remaining sections of the new floats have been built
  • New floats and new pilings will be installed week of March 11

Cedar Cottage Park

  • Playground renewal includes: replacement of tennis courts with a smaller sport court,

pathways, more green space, new rain water feature, re-grading of new court to improve access and safety

  • Construction drawings 75% complete; tendering expected in Q2; construction in Q3

Garden Society, Chinese Cultural Center and Chinatown Transformation Team to animate and improve the public courtyard.

  • In February, LED string lights throughout the

courtyard and decorative wraps on the doors were installed.

  • New gates are being custom-designed to allow

for night time closure of the plaza.

  • Public engagement about the gates targeted for

late April.

Heron Update

Pacific Great Blue Herons have started returning to their colony next to the Park Board

  • ffice; HeronCam in partnership with the Stanley Park Ecology Society will be launched

in the coming week.
