People’s Choice Award The Downtown Parks and Beaches Horticulture Team was the second place winner under this new category. This award recognizes the unsung heroes of the City who demonstrate unwavering commitment and heart to the work they do. Game Changer Category The Cambie Corridor Team, whose members include Dave Hutch, Doug Shearer and Katy Amon, was the winner. The award recognizes a group for their significant work which has moved the organization forward in its practice, process or delivery

2019 Pierre L’Enfant International Planning Award for Excellence

The City of Vancouver’s Northeast False Creek team, which includes Park Board Planning staff, has won the 2019 Pierre L’Enfant International Planning Award of Excellence for the NEFC Plan.

Canadian Institute of Planners 2019 Award for Planning Excellence

Park Board’s planning staff and their consulting team won under the “New and Emerging Planning Initiatives” category for their project People, Parks and Dogs. This award is the highest honor within the CIP’s awards program.

East Fraserlands – Neighbourhood Park South

  • Construction of second

new neighbourhood park expected to be completed in August.

  • New park provides

green anchor amidst low rise residential developments.
