The purpose of this project is to improve the flow of traffic on NW 25 Street and facilitate the movement of cargo in and out of the cargo facility at Miami International Airport (MIA). This segment of the project will connect the viaduct with the east segment viaduct and provide a direct connection to the cargo facility from NW 82 Ave.

Project Background:

 PD&E began in 1991 and was completed in 1997  Design Phase began in 2000 and was completed in 2007  Due to High Cost of Construction Project Was Split in two

segments (East Segment From Palmetto Expressway to NW 67 Ave, and West Segment From NW 89 Ct to Palmetto Expressway)

 Construction of East Segment is Ongoing and Is Expected to be

Completed in Summer 2011

NW 25 Street-West & Viaduct Construction

Proposed Improvements:

 Reconstruct NW 25 Street at Grade (New Drainage, Lighting,

Signals (NW 87 Ave, NW 84 Ave, NW 82 Ave and NW 79 Ave), Landscape and ADA compliance at all Intersection)

 Widening NW 25 St. from its existing configuration of five lanes

undivided to six lanes divided with wide medians.

 Construct Final Segment of Viaduct Structure over NW 25

Street for truck traffic (T>15%) from NW 82 Ave. to Palmetto (SR 826)

 Total Project Length 1.206 Miles

Project Issue:

 Plans were Updated in 2010 to Comply With Current FDOT

Criteria

 All Plan Have Been Updated and Funding is in place to begin

construction

 Final Plans Shall be submitted to the Department March 2011  Plans to Tallahassee in April 2011  Plan Letting is scheduled for July 2011  Expected Construction Duration is 1250 days or 3.5 years

viaduct)

 No Private-Private Partnership Traditional Bid Build  No Stimulus Fund / Project does have ACNH Federal Funds

NW 25 Street-East Construction Update

Project Update:

 Project is currently close to 90% complete  Viaduct Substructure is 100%  Viaduct Super-structure

• all structural steel is in place
• 36 deck pours remain to be competed

 Construction Completion Date is Scheduled for July 2011
