THE MARINA OF NAVENE THE EVENTS

FVM operates in the sport environment of Malcesine from almost 70 years. During the years it has established a significant presence both in Malcesine, and in the sailing world at national and international level.

Malcesine and the North Garda Lake are known all around the world as the best natural open-air gym for sailing. In fact, wind blows regularly over 10 hours per day. In this beautiful scenario, Navene (small village few kilometers North of Malcesine and perfectly connected to the center) hosts the new FVM headquarters and its Marina, with cutting-edge facilities with low environmental impact. The clubhouse, the gym, conference room and the restaurant are all made of wood and glass, under a natural grass cover. The new Marina Navene offers a fully equipped marina service for over 240 boats, generating a passage of people of 40,000 units per year. FVM is equipped to organize sailing events of high technical level, and since 2015 enriched its facilities with a new south floating pier that can accommodate 70 racing boats, making possible to organize new and more spectacular events.

REGATTAS AND EVENTS Every year Fraglia Vela Malcesine organizes numerous prestigious events, for a total of 20-25 appointments per year. Among the 2017 calendar the most important events are: J70 Alcatel Onetouch Italian Trophy (26-28 May): the new Italian circuit dedicated to one of the most interesting monotypes presented in the recent years. Foiling Week (6-9 July): For the fourth consecutive year Malcesine will host a well-known event dedicated to the new generations

• f foiling boats (flying boat on the water), that offer

spectacular tricks on the water and that will ensure the presence of the international press and media and the presence of a large part of America's Cup’s crews and designers. Moth World Championship (8-10 August): the most spectacular event expected in Italy in 2017. 200 flying boats with the best sailors will fight to determine who is the strongest in the world. The show is guaranteed and you will be able to watch it directly from the Fraglia’s headquarters.

Simone Lombardi Trophy (8-10 August): the classic event of August on Garda Lake with more than 350 young sailors between 9 and 15 years-old. These appointments bring to our facilities more than 2,500 sailors, from different classes and categories and with a big range of ages (from kids to master). To these numbers we need to add the 2,500 / 3,000 people formed by coaches, parents, relatives that gravitate around regattas. We talk of at least 5,000 people coming to Fraglia every year, for a total of 30,000 daily stays (and hotel stays) every year. TRAININGS In addition, during the year more than 2000 visitors come to Fraglia for training sessions Malcesine is a regular stop-over for the best sailors in the world during their Olympics preparation, and many of the Olympics medals and World Championships victories were built here. Russell Coutts, Paul Cayard, Dean Barker, James Spithill, Robert Scheidt, Torben Grael, Ben Ainslie and Iain Percy, are just some of the famous names that came to train in our waters. SAILING SCHOOL AND AGONISTIC TEAMS In addition to the series of National and International events, Fraglia Vela Malcesine stands out in Italy and in the world for its incredible youth activities. The starting point is the Sail-and-School Project (Progetto Vela Scuola), project recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education. The Sail-and-School Project brings sailing into schools as a real subject for young kids of Malcesine and Brenzone, and many other classes of the Veronese territory. In 2016, the Project involved more than 400 boys and girls between 6 and 14 years-old. Our sailing and windsurfing school counts every year more than 300 courses carried out by children and teenagers from 6 to 13 years old. From these courses come out the 80 athletes that are part

• f the FVM agonistic teams:

the Optimist Team, the Laser Team, the Windsurf Team, the 420 and 470 Teams, and the 49er team. In 2016, our athlete Vittorio Bissaro attended the Olympic Games in Rio with Nacra 17 Class, together with Silvia Sicouri as his crew. In the same year, FVM athletes conquered many

titles: Gaia Bergonzini in the Optimist class won the European Women Championship and the Team Racing European title, Edoardo Tanas won the European Under 15 title in the Techno 293 class, the Optimist team won the Team Racing national title, and the couple Spagnolli- Rio won the Italian Championship in 420 class. Moreover in 2016, FVM enrolled into the Italian Sailing League (LIV) and competed in the National Club circuit.

TRAINING FOR COACHES AND TECHNICIAN We organize every season update courses for technicians with the support of the 14th District of the Italian Federation (XIV ZONA FIV), and courses to become 1st level Instructor

• f the Italian Sailing Federation.

In our staff we have District and National trainers: Mattia Lonardi and Giorgia Brizio as trainers for the 14th District and Giuseppe Devoti and Ylena Carcasole as National trainers. Among FVM’s staff we can also count on the prestigious presence of the Technical Director of the Italian National Sailing Team Michele Marchesini and the Technical Director

the Italian National Paralympic Team Giuseppe Devoti (FVM Athletic Director), as well as Mattia Lonardi Technical Coordinator 14th FIV District. GYM FITNES CENTER Within our Club you will also find a fully equipped gym with a cardio room and a weight room. ACCESSIBILITY We also would like to point out that our society is completely accessible for disabled people who want to sail. In fact, FVM was chosen to be the official training base for the National Paralympic Team of the Italian Sailing Federation and their Olympic preparation for Rio and London was done in our facilities. During the Garda Trentino Olympic Week, the first leg of the EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup, FVM hosted the races of the three Paralympics classes: Sonar, Skud and 2.4. Moreover, we host several associations for people with disabilities (both with physical and mental problems) that sail with the Dream boats. To promote these activities, every year in cooperation with AIDM (Malcesine Association for disable people), we organize two Open- Days to try Dreams. In 2013, we created the Sailing School dedicated to people with disabilities that allowed us to realize the project "Explain Sailing", in collaboration with INAIL (Italian National Institute for Injuries on the workplace), born to bring sailing people who have suffered injuries on the workplace.
