Partners: Revive, Rainbow Haven, Refugee Action,

and The British Red Cross

4 hubs operating across Greater Manchester to

provide support to refugees and asylum seekers: Bolton, Oldham, Leigh, and Rochdale.

The hubs are bases for orientation and social

support, ESOL, employability, wellbeing classes as well as initial casework assessments.

The Partnership: What is GMRSP?

Refugees and Asylum Seekers in the voluntary sector

Refugees, asylum seekers and refused asylum seekers

are allowed to volunteer in the UK throughout and following the asylum process.

They can volunteer with charities and public sector
rganisations.
They are able to have DBS checks

The Flourish Project

The aim is to improve service users’ employability, wellbeing and integration into the community. Through volunteering.

How Does Flourish Work?

Flourish offers one-to-one support to Refugees and

Asylum seekers who want to volunteer across Greater Manchester.

Each caseworker works with a service user for 6 weeks

to support them into finding a volunteer placement

utside of the partnership.
The Project promotes independence and dignity by

supporting service users to become self-sufficient in finding opportunities.
