Expectations of Coaches

Will not discuss other players in our program with other parents or players.

and/or behaviors

➢ Individual feedback on your daughter’s strengths and opportunities for

improvement with ideas of how to continually develop

Will treat all players with respect and not use offensive or abusive language when addressing the players

Will always put the safety of the players first

Expectations of Parents

Be positive with your daughter. Let her know that it is a proud accomplishment simply to be part of an athletic team.

Try not to offer excuses if she is not playing. Encourage her to work hard and try her best. Help her set goals as a good way to show your interest and monitor progress.

Discourage putting down coaches or others which teaches your child to be a complainer, not a doer.

Do not instruct your daughter during play.

Be a positive role model – show respect for opposing players, coaches and spectators, and demonstrate good sportsmanship. You represent your family, team and community.

Parent Liaison

Objective and unbiased resource available for parents to express concerns.

Is NOT a substitute for healthy dialogue between players, coaches and parents; parents should always start with speaking with the coach first.

Additional practice and time on the field

Opportunities to play different positions

➢ Note: as players age up in Travel, field position rotation

becomes less frequent.

If want to learn and develop as a new pitcher, can do so in a less competitive environment.

Travel players can be seen as leaders/role models for less experienced Rec players.

Play close to home (Roxbury, Randolph and sometimes Mt. Olive)
