Economic Sustainability

FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) study states that coconut sap sugar is the most sustainable sweetener grown in the world today. Coconut trees need very little water to grow, restore the soil, and need less water to produce the nectar. Produce 50-70% more sugar per acre than sugar cane while using 20% less soil nutrients.

Economic Sustainability Coconut trees provide the farmer with the ability to

  • btain sugar from the flower while allowing another

stalk to mature to form coconuts. Promotes self-sufficiency among farmers- they can get coconuts and sugar from the same tree. Productivity of coconut sugar is much higher than that attained with

  • ther products.
