AgriculturalAdvisory Centre Improvement of knowledge and qualifications of advisory staff as well as increase and unification of standards of services provided by advisers for farmers and other rural dwellers We develop • skills of regional advisory centres’ staff, as well as teachers of agricultural colleges, the representatives of educational and agricultural institutions and organizations, chambers of agriculture, the Local Action Groups, farmers and other rural dwellers by organising training courses, seminars, conferences, competitions and other forms of vocational development. We carry • specialised training courses and examinations for agricultural, environmental advisers and wildlife experts enabling them to obtain specific qualifications and following certificates in order to provide services to farmers willing to benefit from the measures of the Rural Development Programme.

  16. Conclusions • Social farming not only creates new opportunities for farmers and rural areas inhabitants, but it is a challenge for agricultural advisors. • Regarding this topic there is still a lack of research and publication in Poland.

  17. Conclusions • Therefore the methodology of advising and working with various actors involved in the social farms creation process should be prepared. • It is necessary to develop and implement new training methods (individual consultancy, publication, demonstration, study trips) and materials about social farming management, implementation and effects.

  18. Conclusions • The agricultural advisory system needs to take part in the dissemination of the social farming idea. • The public system of agricultural advisory in Poland has great experience in the dissemination of the social farming idea. Therefore, the potential of this institution should be used.
