Nowadays functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is the gold standard for chronic NBD

  • treatment. The operation generally involves

inferior/middle turbinoplasty and uncinate and ethmoid excision, sometimes followed by opening

  • f the maxillary, sphenoid and frontal sinuses. A
