Students First FDR Critical Thinking & Writing. Regents Prep Prior to the August, January, and June Regents exams Summer School: Targeted at upper classmen at risk for graduation & Freshmen failures in core subjects

English Curriculum Alignment with Colleges and Careers. Creating Positive Morale & Culture  SOS. & PBIS, Staff Spirit Days, Class Meetings, Athletics, Pep Rally & Homecoming, 26 Clubs  & Activities (Multi-Cultural Club, G.S.A., Step, World Quest, & Robotics) Game Day, Model U.N., Fall Drama & Spring Musical, Junior & Senior Prom, & Friday Night Graduation. FDR provided AVID Showcase (1 of only 34 High Schools in CT, Del. MA. NY. & PA.)  2018 - 2019 Student & Staff Success Thus far:  33% of FDR’s Senior Class has a 4 year average of over 90.  Tito Maresca, Jason Mattel, & Leila Raines honored as National Merit Scholar Commended  Students, Eden Palmer, U.S. Congressional Art Award, Art Work Displayed in Congress, FDR’s 2 nd .  Alexia Sanchez Scored a Perfect Score on her NYSMA Solo and Represented FDR at The  NYSSMA All-State and a member of the National Honor Choir & was at All Eastern 4/5/19. 3 NYSSMA All-State: Kira Brainard, Amelia McNamara, & Leila Raines (Most Ever).  Catherine Graham, 11 th Grade, Section 9 Swimming Champion.  Jesse Yebouet named a National QuestBridge Scholar  Sarah Trainor, 11 th Grade, Section 9 Cross Country Champion, 5 th in NYS. MHAL Individual  Champion, 5 th at the Nike Regional, Nike National Qualifier in Oregon, Winter 2 nd in NYS in 1000m, 4 th in NYS in 600m, All-American. Paul Sandford placed 7 th in NYS in the Indoor 1000m, was the Individual MHAL XC Champ.  Jack Cimorelli was Section 9 Champion in 100 breaststroke & 10th in NYS 200 IM. 

Robert Reining 11 th Grade, placed 6th in NYS 100 freestyle.  13/17 Teams Recognized by NYS as Scholar Athlete Teams (75% over a 90 Ave.)  Girls Basketball won the Section 9 Championship & the MHAL Championship.  Cheerleading won their 3 rd Sectional 9 Team Championship in a row & placed 4 th overall in NYS.  Gymnastics won their 3 rd Sectional 9 Team Championship in a row, Shannon Kelly was  Sportswoman of the State Meet, & were MHAL Champions. 9 Teams had athletes in NYS Competition (Girls & Boys Swim, Girls & Boys XC, Girls & Boys  Track. Girls Basketball, Gymnastics, Cheer, & Bowling. Multiple Students Were Either Relay or Individual Section Champions.  Multiple Students Were All Section.  Boys XC were MHAL Champions for the 4 th Time in a row. Girls also were MHAL Champions.  Boys & Girls Indoor Track were MHAL Champions.  7 Regional Scholastic Art Gold Key Winners.  12 Regional Scholastic Art Silver Key Winners.  32 Students Selected to NYSSMA Area All State Music Recognitions.  2 New NYS Master Teachers: Mr. Czechowsky & Mr. Halling, totaling 7 Master Teachers at FDR.  Mr. Hurley received the Award for Excellence in Pupil Services from the Mid-Hudson Study Council.  Ms. Atkins was Dutchess County Counselor of the Year.  Multiple Poughkeepsie Journal All Stars.  Multiple Students Participate in Skills Competition Through BOCES in Syracuse.  FDR Recognized as Highly Certified by AVID Center. 
