Question: What is Health Information Exchange? -Is HIE a noun or a verb? Answer: It’s both. HASA is a politically and financially neutral Health Information Exchange organization that specializes in the secure, electronic, real-time exchange of data between healthcare providers, for the purpose of improving patient care through data interoperability.
