  3. Centralised vs. Decentralised Centralised Actions are larger and more strategic projects managed at a European level by the European Commission, designed to tackle specific issues throughout Europe Decentralised Actions are directly managed by the National Agency (EUPA) 3

  4. Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals Supports opportunities for students, trainees, young people and volunteers, as well as for professors, teachers, trainers, youth workers, staff of education institutions and civil society organisations to undertake a learning and/or professional experience in another country Applications under this action cannot be made by individual students, staff or volunteers This Key Action is applicable for all 5 sectors 4

Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices Aims to develop initiatives addressing one or more fields of education training and youth and promote innovation, exchange of experience and know-how between different types of organisations • Cooperation for Innovation : The aim is to create an innovative Intellectual Output with the help of Erasmus+ funding and partners • Cooperation for Exchange of Good Practices : Where the output is your organisation becoming a better version of itself through discussions and learning from partners 5

Key Action 3: Support for Policy Reform Structured Dialogue: meetings between young people and decision-makers in the field of youth This Action promotes the active participation of young people in democratic life and fosters debate around topics centred on the themes and priorities set by the Structured Dialogue and the renewed political framework in the youth field This is only applicable under the Youth Sector 6

Jean Monnet Jean Monnet aims to promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of EU Studies worldwide while fostering dialogue between the academic world and policy-makers, in particular with the aim of enhancing EU and global governance Only higher education institutions holding a valid Erasmus charter are eligible to apply 7

  8. Sport Actions in the field of sport are expected to result in the development of the European dimension in sport by generating, sharing and spreading experiences and knowledge about different issues affecting sport at the European level • Collaborative Partnerships: Should promote the creation and development of European Networks in the field of Sport 8

  9. • Small Collaborative Partnerships: Allow organisations to develop and reinforce networks, increase their capacity to operate at transnational level and exchange good practice • Not-for-profit European sport events: Supports the organisation of European-wide sport events organised in one Programme Country, and national events organised simultaneously in several Programme Countries 9

  10. Three Key Actions (target audience) The Actions in the fields of education and training and youth cover five sectors under the Erasmus+ Programme: • Adult Education • Vocational and Education Training • School Education • Youth • Higher Education 10

  11. Adult Education • All forms of non-vocational adult education, whether of a formal, non-formal or informal nature. • Deals with offering basic skills to adults in order to facilitate their everyday life – such as learning basic English/ Maltese or IT skills. 11

  12. Vocational Education & Training (VET) • Education and Training which aims to equip people with knowledge, know-how, skills and/or competences required in particular occupations or more broadly on the labour market • Typically in this sector we deal with MCAST, ITS and similar institutions that offer a hands-on approach to education 12

  13. School Education • Activities including Job Shadowing, Training Courses and Teaching Assignments or Pupil mobility, offered only to recognised schools (Primary/ Secondary) and their staff and students • Typically deals with teachers from state, church and independent schools 13

  14. Youth • Targets Youth Groups, Youth Workers and young people aged 13 – 30 • Offers activities such as mobility of Youth Workers and Youth Exchanges • Requires projects to be created and managed by the young people themselves 14

  15. Higher Education • Target Higher Education Institutions such as University of Malta, MCAST, St. Martin’s College, and ITS • In order to be eligible to apply for a Higher Education project, the institution must hold the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) 15

Support to potential applicants One-to-one meetings: discus potential ideas, check for relevance, review project brief and refer to eligibility/relevance as per programme guide Information meetings: meetings/workshops to support potential applicants by providing them with practical tips on applying for funding, developing project proposals & improving quality of applications Review, Re-think & Re-submit sessions: Targeted at applicants which were not successful in obtaining funding. These sessions provide applicants with tips on how to improve their applications and to encourage them to re-submit their proposal 17

Promotion of Erasmus+ Erasmus Days: Promotion of Erasmus+ programme y beneficiaries over 3 days with the support of EUPA Fairs/Events: Participation in fairs, exhibitions events throughout the year such as Fresher's Week & MCAST Expo Delivery of presentations: requests to deliver informative presentations on Erasmus+ Media: participation in TV/Radio programmes, promotion on magazines/newspapers , social media Events: Valorisation Events, Stakeholders Meetings etc. 19
