Entailments
◮ When we utter declarative sentences, many things get
communicated.
◮ The ‘main message’ and the entailments of the main message.
E.g.
1. I managed to get out of the hotel yesterday and ended up in Reno. 2. I was in Nevada yesterday.
- 3. #I managed to get out of the hotel yesterday and ended up in
Reno, but I never made it to Nevada.
