Testing PARCC : Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College & Careers *Students may need to meet competency levels to qualify for graduation PBA (Performance-Based Assessment) & EOY (End of Year Assessment) Each has a 20 day testing window NJBCT : New Jersey Biology Competency Test *Students take this assessment the year they take their first Life Science course and may need to meet competency levels to qualify for graduation PSAT : Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test – (Free to grades 10 & 11) Students need to take this test seriously as it may be used for placement purposes. Kaplan Challenge: Grade 9 Prepares students for the revised SAT (10/2016) and revised PSAT (10/2015) SAT: Scholastic Aptitude Test – (Free Spring Test For Juniors) AP: Advanced Placement Tests – (Free For Courses Offered)

Course Selection Changes  All requests to change a student’s course selections must be completed by June 15, 2015.  Students who are not proficient on the Math or Language Arts section(s) of the 2015 state testing program will have Math Enhancement and/or English Enhancement added to their schedule. These courses will replace their previously selected elective(s) and/or World Language. These changes may occur in August. Students will be notified by mail if these changes should occur.

  17.  On December 15 th , the TC counselors visited with your children at Ann Mullen Middle School.  At that time, each student was handed an assortment of papers explaining the scheduling process.  Students were reminded that all requests to change courses must be completed by June 15, 2015.  The Program of Studies is always available on our district and school websites at www.bhprsd.org
