Fundraising – Big Hitters!

  • 1. External Fundraising Team delivered huge grants towards our running track and storytelling

area

  • 2. Match Funding - parents using their employers’ schemes to benefit our School, especially

Andy Cowdrill and Microsoft!

  • 3. Continue to be supported by local businesses, parents and friends with donations for raffle

prizes, food for BBQs and Father’s Day breakfast, venues for us to hold events and resources for us to use

  • 4. Most of all, so many kind people continue to give the most valuable commodity – time!

7

7

Continue to run ‘not for profit’ activities which are enriching experiences for parents and children

  • Summer social
  • Transfer day refreshments and information giving

Fundraising priorities 2019/20 – any feedback?

  • 1. Continue to fund a Christmas theatre experience & Busy Bees Christmas party
  • 2. Extend and update the adventure playground, including removing the mound and

slide to create more space and make it compliant with safety requirements

  • 3. Continue to fund ‘in-school experiences’ that enrich learning such as World Book Day

theatre workshops and Science week expert lead activities and to also continue to fund our Y4 Leavers Disco and to subsidise their year books

  • 4. To subsidise some of the school trips in particular supporting with the coach costs

which would then significantly reduce the cost of the trips to parents

  • 5. Install multimedia technology for the school hall so that there is an up to date and

simple solution for sound and image projection – this will be beneficial for assemblies, shows, presentations from external speakers

13

13

Committee Priorities

  • 1. Get more people involved (many hands make light work)
  • 2. Simplify how we do things and how we communicate
  • 3. Fundraise and deliver social events to enrich experiences at school and to

develop our school community

14

14 Summary

A massive thank you to everyone involved Keep fundraising so we can keep delivering lots of fun, smiles and happy memories Support us by helping where you can, match funding, bringing fresh ideas

  • Record year of fundraising helped enormously by match funding and

external grants

  • Lots of fun events held for parents and children, and we have a new

running track & storytelling area, we’ve been to the panto and funded school trips and subject expert visits

  • Clear plans in place for 2019/20 to focus our time and energy
