  • Statewide Clearinghouse intended as a resource for

agencies/communities to access technical assistance, training & support for prevention/intervention/post-vention

  • 3 Culturally-based NA Youth Suicide Prevention Initiatives

intended to support a continuum of prevention, intervention, and post-event assistance to NA individuals, families and tribes, nations and pueblos living with suicide.

  • Total of $450,000 requested ($150K Clearinghouse,

$300K pilot sites) however appropriations were removed from final legislation

Board of Regents of the University of New Mexico to fund Clearinghouse and Technical Assistance program and provide culturally appropriate suicide prevention, intervention and post-event assistance statewide to NA individuals and families and tribes, nations and pueblos living with suicide.

  • Approved for FY 13 at $100,000 for Clearinghouse
  • No appropriations requested for culturally-based

  • Community-based Research Specialist
  • Consultants
