January 1st, Lisa falls on her

  • shoulder. She visits an Urgent Care

and gets physical therapy 3 times - with HealthBridge Network Providers. Her health plan requires a $50 Urgent Care copayment. Each PT coinsurance is $150. She does not pay the providers directly.

3

HealthBridge pays the providers for Lisa’s $50 copayment and the $150 coinsurance three times for PT. Lisa receives a statement from HealthBridge. Total statement = $500.

4 5

She pays the minimum $25 / month for Feb and Mar ($50) – no interest

(She doesn’t have any other new medical claims in Jan, Feb or Mar)

6

In April she decides to pay the remaining balance ($450) at a 10% discount. She pays $405 and saves $45!
