  3. • South coast of England. • Population of approximately 340,000 people in Bournemouth & Poole. • Mildest year-round climate in the UK. • Seven miles of safe, sun-kissed beaches. • Bournemouth happiest town in UK • Located on the south coast. • 20 minutes from Bournemouth Airport. • 2 hours from Heathrow and Gatwick. • 2 hours from London, Brighton, Oxford, Bath and Bristol. • 45 minutes travel to the famous Stonehenge.

Individual junior courses running: • 22 th December 2016 – 23 th February 2017 • 13 th June 2016 – 31 th August 2016 Closed groups are welcome year-round: Please note that we operate a separate junior school between the following dates: • 4 th July 2016 – 21 th August 2016 • (see slides 16-17.) Note: Junior students are in the main school (11 Poole Road) during weeks 1624-1626 and also 1634-1635

  6. • JU = 20 lessons per week. • JI = 26 lessons per week (includes SPINS from 15.30- 16.50 x3 per week). • Accommodation available in homestay or residence. • Internet access, free access to Efekta and progress tracker. • Course certificate and EFCELT report. Note: there are no iLab classes on Junior courses

Time Activity If juniors don’t want to return to host family or residence immediately they have free time to walk to local shops, or play sports with friends. 15.20 In summer there is often an EF activity at 4pm such as beach volleyball. Note that JI students have an extra lesson from 15.30-16.50 x3 per week 18.00 Compulsory dinner with host family or at residence Optional evening activity begins: 19.30 Free activities; EF Discos, Sports, Games, Film Night Activities costing 5 -10GBP; Cinema, Pottery, Salsa, Paintball etc. Students not participating in an evening activity will be supervised by their host family or EF residence staff. If they wish to go out they should ask for permission and say where they are going and with whom. 22.00 CURFEW TIME

  8. • Half board residences available year-round for closed groups – please enquire. • Maximum stay 4 weeks in residence – For 8 weeks courses; 4 weeks host family followed by 4 weeks residence is ok. • Summer half board residences from weeks 1624- 1635. All rooms ensuite. • Photos right. . • Twin rooms (single by special request.) • Stay in the same host family for up to 4 weeks • Average travelling time of 45 minutes. • Weekly bus passes cost approx £15

  9. • Traditional Fish and Chips on the beach on arrival day. • International Buffet (100 dishes) once a week • Hot lunch at least twice a week e.g. Lasagne & Salad or Cheeseburger with potato wedges • Picnic lunch at least twice a week e.g. Caesar salad with a sliced chicken & rocket baguette or Greek Salad & Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Sandwich • Drinks included

  10. • All juniors meet at 8.30am. Those with an excursion return to Bournemouth at dinner time. • Those without an excursion attend a compulsory activity in Bournemouth. • Juniors can either pre-book their excursions in the Sales Office or they can buy them in school. • If juniors do not have a pre-booked excursion then they can purchase one in the activities office or alternatively they can have a free day in Bournemouth with their host family or at their residence. • If they wish to go out they should ask for permission and say where they are going and with whom at all times.

  11. • Daily supervised activities (sports, arts & crafts, challenges) plus at least one special activity each week chosen from; Bowling, Cinema, Oceanarium, Laser Wars, Water sports & Archery. • An excursion to further explore sightseeing attractions in a city nearby.

  12. • London Trip • Oxford Trip. • Please note that students staying 3 weeks or more can book more than one discovery pack – each additional discovery pack consists of two excursions to different destinations such as Brighton, Cambridge & Bath.

Additional excursions can be pre booked by junior groups – please enquire for prices • Bath with Roman Baths • Oxford with Christchurch College • Cambridge with punting • Thorpe Park theme park • London with Madame Tussauds, London Eye or Tower of London • Harry Potter Studios • Corfe Castle & Swanage
