Recommendation

The Mission 1. Address Educational Needs of Students Overcrowding issue throughout the district Classrooms for growth (new developments) Classrooms for full day kindergarten Intensive services for English language learners

Build an Early Learning Center on the site of Park View School

Consolidating Pre-K and Kindergarten classes at a single site would:

  • Free up space at other buildings to allow for

enrollment increases in Grades 1–8

  • Improve program delivery
  • Allow us to offer preschool to all interested

students

  • Eliminate the need to renovate Park View

The Mission 1. Address Educational Needs of Students Overcrowding issue throughout the district Classrooms for growth (new developments) Classrooms for full day kindergarten Intensive services for English language learners

Children who have a preschool education experience have long-term gains in their academic and social development. Those who do not demonstrate gaps in math and literacy that tend to widen over time.
