Takeout meals are more of a gray area under section 331 Kansas guidance. • Nutrition service providers, at their discretion and per written food safety policy, may allow customers to take out food and milk remaining from their own served meal. • When food has been removed from the premises, its safety is the sole responsibility of the customer.
