Home Learning

Home learning is not given to students in FS1. Access to technology in class is closely monitored to ensure children receive a variety of activities to develop their motor skills, social skills and speaking and listening skills. All children should have their logins either written or stuck into their homework diaries so that they are easily accessible. Home learning assignments are set by class teachers and are as important to complete as paper assignments.

How to stay safe online

Never share passwords

Don’t write them down where they can be easily found and read. Try to memorise them. Make them complex and change them regularly.

Be kind to others

Be aware of what cyber bullying is and that you must tell someone you trust if you or a friend has received unkind messages online.

Be careful what you share

Do not share personal information about where you live or where you go to

  • school. Never meet up with

strangers you may have spoken to online. Make sure parents know what games or websites you are on.

Talk about it

If you see something

  • nline that makes you

upset or uncomfortable, tell a trusted adult.

  • wn content. They are confident in how to

stay safe online and how to find trustworthy information online. Parents become digital mentors, playing an active role in supporting their children to become digital citizens.

Take-off

  • ff

Teachers’ own confidence and ability in using new technologies increases through support from digital lead, staff meetings and time to share ideas and successes in year groups. Parents may be aware of what children access on line and on digital devices. Students are motivated to take their knowledge further and learn more that they can use in school and for home learning. The Sky is the Limit

We are all co-pilots on a digital journey together.
