Remote Learning Expectations

1. Log into live lesson Introduction for first 10 minutes of class period via Schoology Video Conferencing 2. Attendance is required 3. Complete pre-recorded lesson through Schoology during the class period time frame 4. Teachers will be available to support students during the class period through Schoology Messages 5. Complete all work assignments for the lesson by teacher due date 6. Grades will be given 7. Formative assessments, class quizzes, etc. are required for grades 8. Teachers will have open office hours during the Literacy Skills period and Reteach and Enrich period. Students can log into their teacher’s Schoology Conference for help if needed. These classes are not required

Period 1 (Advisory): 8:00-8:25 - Live via Schoology Conferences Period 2 (Core Class): 8:25-9:25 - Following Remote Learning Structure Period 3 (Specials): 9:25-10:05 - Starting August 17th, 2020 - Will Follow Remote Learning Structure Period 4 (Literacy Skills): 10:05-10:45 - Live Teacher Office Hours via Schoology Conferences (Student Support as Needed) Period 5 (Core Class): 10:45-11:45 - Following Remote Learning Structure Period 6 (Core Class): 11:45-12:45 - Following Remote Learning Structure Lunch/Break: 12:45-1:25 Period 9 (Core Class): 1:25-2:25 - Following Remote Learning Structure Period 10 (Reteach/Enrich except for CIP students): 2:25-3:00 - Live Teacher Office Hours via Schoology Conferences (Student Support as Needed) NOTE: CIP students have Mandarin for Period 10. - Will Follow Remote Learning Structure

What will I need to do on Monday, August 10th?

Log in to your Advisory teacher’s Schoology page by 8:00 a.m. First, find the Course for your Advisory, under the Courses tab. Click on the Course you are trying to join and confirm you are in Advisory. Second, click on the Conferences link at 8:00 a.m. to join your Advisory class.

Confirm you are in Advisory.

The first time you log into Conferences, you will need to approve your access. Once you approve, you will be directed to your list of active Conferences. Please click on the conference name to join.

Follow the directions on the screen to perform the audio test. A pop up will ask you if you want to Block or

• Allow. You must allow audio. You will then be directed to the BigBlueButton home page.

The circles icons show are your controls. The microphone allows you to mute and unmute yourself,. The camera allows you to turn your webcam on and off.

Advisory/Math Skills & Specials & Literacy Skills & Band/Choir/Orchestra & Reteach/Enrich

Advisory/Math Skills - Live via Schoology Conferencing everyday from 8:00 -8:25 a.m. Log in to your Advisory teacher’s Schoology Conference each morning at 8:00 a.m. Specials: 9:25 - 10:05 - Remotely starting on August 17th following the Remote Learning Structure Literacy Skills: 10:05 - 10:45 - Teachers are available Live, for support via Schoology Conferencing. If you need help, log onto your teacher’s live conference through your Schoology Literacy Skills page. Small intervention groups may begin on August 31st Band/Choir/Orchestra - Occurs during Literacy Skills period and will remotely begin on August 31st Reteach/Enrich: 2:25 -3:00 - Teachers are available Live, for support via Schoology Conferencing. If you need help, log onto your teacher’s live conference through your Schoology Reteach or Enrich page. Small intervention groups and 6th Grade ELP will begin on August 31st
