§ Receive Inbound and outbound orders from customer ERP systems § This provides visibility of order/ order lines to DHL control Towers § Based on customer requests, SCI will also on board carriers/ 3PLs involved in the program to send: – Actual Shipment – Shipment Status § Carriers/ 3PLs will be requested to provide customer order reference as part of Actual Shipment message. Hence shipments will be matched with orders and provide collaborative view of orders and shipments to end customer. § Around 40 carriers/ forwarders are already integrated using following standard message formats: – EDIFACT DESADV & IFTSTA – ANSI 214/ 240 – CSV format

§ For most of the customers, SCI will also send back the status either as EDI message or as data dump based on the requirements. § Got about 300 customized reports to support 100 + customers and their unique requirements.

§ Transport Request in SCI world is equivalent to an Order Release in OTM § SCI TMS is mainly used from a 4PL point of view for: – Receipt of Transport Request – Planning the Transport Requests – Booking the shipments with carriers/ forwarders – Receiving status updates from them, and generate Shipment KPI reporting – Receipt of Invoices from carriers/ forwarders – Automate the auditing of invoices/ and confirm the payment in AP system
