DEFINITION DEFINITION OF T OF TERMS ERMS Close Contacts – these are person/s who had contact or within 1 meter with a CONFIRMED COVID-19 patient during their symptomatic period, including 4 days before onsets of the symptoms. Contact Tracing – is the process by which we locate and identify person/s who have been exposed to a CONFIRMED COVID-19 patient and reaches out to them. Surveillance – is the process of finding potential COVID-19 patients among those suffering from severe acute respiratory illness. This is done to locate and identify other COVID-19 patient outside the Contact Tracing activities. Suspected COVID – 19 patient – those who are considered Person Under Investigation (PUI) either with mild, severe or critical symptoms but still did not undergone the COVID-19 Test.
