Citi Foundation Grant Award • Southeast Tech & SFSD CTE Academy  Received for a second year, a $250,000 youth workforce development grant  Worked collaboratively to provide internships, shadowing experiences, career fairs, camps, pre-apprenticeships, and other career exploration opportunities to Sioux Falls youth  Provide students with hands-on experience, industry-specific skills training (Ex. Construction Pre-Apprenticeship – AGC)

  11. Citi Foundation Grant Award • Southeast Tech & SFSD CTE Academy  Funding for career coach & internship coordinator that work directly with students to provide personalized career development and promote work-based learning opportunities  Last year, 215 high school students participated in internships  Approx. 110 high school students received Soft Skills training through Southeast Tech (Bring Your “A” Game Training)  Goal is to expand to over 300 internships this year  KELOLAND Story - https://www.keloland.com/news/local- news/internships-for-high-school-students/1609821142

  13. Awards & Recognitions • Faculty Members received special recognition from the US Army:  Patrick Hoier - Invasive Cardiovascular Technology  Pam Boyd - Cardiac Sonography  Worked with student using Skype and LMS (Jenzabar) which allowed student to continue her studies while in Afghanistan

  14. Center for Opportunity in the Workforce  Working with the Mayor’s Office and City of Sioux Falls  Focus on outreach to underserved populations within the Sioux Empire  Providing training and development for entry level positions  Collaboration with the University Center
