Traffic during Construction

– Traffic control restrictions

  • Heavy construction must not interfere with the cruise traffic

periods

  • No construction traffic hauling operations from 6am to 6pm

between Friday and Monday (inclusive)

  • With the exception of one‐time movements, no operations

along North America Way adjacent to the cruise terminals

  • One‐time movements may only occur during non‐peak cruise

days and they need to be coordinated and approved by the Port in advance

Traffic during Construction

– Vessels movements

  • Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) cannot operate within 100 ft. of a

moored cruise ship.

  • Project is limited to North Channel.
  • No interruptions of scheduled vessel movements in the ship

channel and in the turning basin beyond agreed construction windows (to be coordinated with the Port).

  • All tunnel construction will occur underground with minimal

impact to the channel.
