The Paper  Must be 1,800 – 2,200 words in length (5-6 pages)  Should have  An introduction section that clearly convey the purpose of the paper  A main body that includes data and examples (and maybe some analysis) that you gathered  A “My Opinion” section for expressing your analysis and drawing your conclusion  Should have at least 3 credible references being cited meaningfully in the paper  Should be formatted according to the requirements Ethics – Spring 2010 About Speech and Paper 4

Peer Grading on Speech  Quality of Content:  Does it tell a “coherent story”?  Were the slides well-organized?  Where there good data and examples?  Where there good analysis and conclusion?  Are the data sources properly cited?  Quality of Presentation:  Was the presentation audible and understandable?  Did the presenter answer questions well? Submissions  Pre-Paper:  Submit the title and an essential outline  Pre-Speech:  Submit the title, outline, and conclusion slides  The Paper:  Submit both a softcopy and a hardcopy by the deadline (the last class).  The Speech:  Submit a copy of your slides before your presentation.
