WHAT IS COVID-19?

Common symptoms include:

  • Fever (38°C or above)
  • Dry cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Tiredness

Coronaviruses (COV) are a family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-COV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS- COV).

COVID-19 is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

ü Establish collection points for surgical face mask’s for those with suspected/confirmed cases. ü Communicate waste standards for disposal of general use face masks. Sterilize items before disposing of them. ü Set standards for hygiene and PPE protection for critical workers such as cleaners. ü Allow staffs carrying food from home to have it at their desk (if possible) ü Install plenty of hands-free dispensers with sanitizer that contains at least 60−95% alcohol in common areas. ü No-touch garbage and recycling receptacles are preferable
