  3. Study Abroad (SA)  Study at partner university of Institute for International Business  SA = part of the Major  1 semester  30 credits  First semester of year 3 / year 4 (in consultation with coordinator)

Conditions for selection: Proc ocedure  Registration via Mobility Online  Optional: intake meeting coordinator (instruction website International Office HU) + discuss (provisional) top 5  Deadline approval partner universities by coordinator: 24 January 2020  Deadline completing registration: 31 January 2020

Conditions for selection: intak ake m mee eeting  Propedeuse (or 55 EC + positive advice coordinator) to be achieved after term B or C.  Study results  Sufficient language knowledge for countries of choice  Preferences (top 5, 6, 7, ...)  realistic choices!  Academic offer partner universities

  8. What if…. You will only have your P (or 55 EC plus positive advice) after term C?  Second round: selection in April 2020 after results term C  new top 5 based on the availability of partner universities

Selection criteria How will you be selected for a partner university?  Propedeuse or 55 EC + positive advice after the exams of term B  Level of language is sufficient  Amount of EC per year  Average mark Conditions: o Registration Mobility Online o Preference for minimally 3 possible partners o Availability of places partners

  10. Content Study Abroad Students must pass 30 ECTS credits abroad. Subjects must be at Bachelor level and not overlapping with IBL programme. Exception: language of country host university with a maximum of 8 ECTS) Subjects need to be approved by the coordinator + Exam Board ◦ Criteria are to be found on the subject approval form IBL ◦ Compulsory subjects within 4 areas (min. 18 ECTS) ◦ Electives (max. 12 ECTS) When? Before SA or max. 2 weeks after beginning study abroad

  11. Requirements subjects Compulsory subjects: minimum 18 ECTS credits. Students must follow courses in at least 4 of the 6 subject areas. Economics possible subjects: general economics, international economics, macro economics, globalisation. Communication and Languages possible subjects: Negotiations, managing international relations, languages, local culture and history. Human Resource Management & Organizations possible subjects: organizational models, leadership models, organizational behaviour. International Marketing Management& Sales possible subjects: sales, public relations management, marketing communication, B2B marketing, sales Strategic Management possible subjects: corporate strategy, company culture, growth, sustainability management, export planning. International Law & Legal Aspect: Possible subjects: international law, transport modalities, sales proposals. Rest can be elective subjects: maximum of 12 ECTS credits.

  12. How to get subject approval? Upload in Mobility Online:  Subject approval form IBL  Learning agreement  Course guides (PDF files) After approval by coordinator in MO, send request to Exam Board for approval.

Steps & deadlines Registration Mobility Online open: December 1st Intake meetings: November– mid January 2020 Deadline upload final top 5 partner universities: 24 January 2020 Finalize process Mobility Online: Deadline: 31 January 2019 Selection by the institute: February / March IO informs student about provisional selection: March Student has to accept selection: March Application procedure partner university (=Official registration at partner university): April – July Choice of subjects (to be discussed with coordinator): May - September Request exam board Subject approval + signature Learning Agreement
