The following steps are ONLY for students who would like to transfer credits back to FIU. If you would like to do an internship for experience only, you do NOT have to follow these steps, simply apply to the internship.

  • Step 1-WITH THE INTERNSHIP PROVIDER

Apply to the Internship of your choice by going on their website. Please take their Application Deadline into account. (studyabroad.fiu.edu)

  • Step 2- WITH THE OFFICE OF EDUCATION ABROAD

Apply for a Third Party Program Application Approval Deadline: August 1st (studyabroad.fiu.edu)

Third Party Program Approval (TPPA)

Description Eligibility Terms Cost Examples

Study abroad for the summer through a program

  • ffered by a third-

party program provider. Select courses through the provider that will transfer back to FIU to meet major requirements. Minimum FIU GPA:

  • 2.0 undergraduate
  • 3.0 graduate

Have at least one semester remaining at FIU after the exchange semester (CANNOT study abroad through TPPA in graduating semester). Summer Fall Application Deadlines: Fall: August 1,2020
