Tonight: Community Conversation
1. Is diversity, equity and inclusion a concern in the Region of Peel? (Yes/No) 2. Are the Charter commitments inclusive? Do they speak to the diverse needs of the Peel community? 3. Are there commitments in the Charter that particularly resonate with you (if so, why)? What commitments should the Regional Diversity Roundtable (RDR) focus on for the implementation phase of the project? How can RDR ensure that all commitments are honoured/implemented? 4. What impact do you think a local Diversity and Inclusion Charter has/will have (on your household/organization/community AND on the Region of Peel at large)? How can we make the most impact with this initiative? 5. How can RDR’s D&I Charter Initiative support your efforts to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion are a daily part of your lives, communities, and work? 6. In Phase 1, we received feedback that measuring diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives is important. Share your thoughts on how the impacts of this initiative should be measured. 7. The Charter is a regional initiative, but it will be implemented differently by different individuals,
- rganizations and communities (based on their starting points, work completed, etc.). How do you
envision Charter commitments being implemented? 8. What should RDR be doing to hold endorsers accountable for implementation?
