SLIDE 77

Athlete Communications & Interviews

Pre-Event When in need of fulfilling athlete interview requests from members of the media, we will work with you directly to gain appropriate access to your federations athletes in a timely manner per each request. We anticipate as we get closer to September, the number of pre-event request access to athletes via the press will increase, most importantly after team selections. If needed, we can help you prepare information statements about the event and progress of the venue in relation to sport, accommodations, ticketing, if questions arise or become prominent in NF communications with the media. We will work directly with each NF Press Officer to coordinate specific interview requests pre-event.

77

slide-78
SLIDE 78

Athlete Communications & Interviews

During Event The FEI Communications Team and the Tryon Communications & Marketing Team will enforce mandated guidelines during the event in regards to media access to athletes outside of official press conferences and NF-organized interviews. Media will NOT be allowed in the stabling area – only on a case by case basis will the Press Operations Team and FEI Communications Team determined if access to stabling will be granted. If a member of the media requests an in-person interview with a rider, the Press Operations team will coordinate directly with the representing NF Press Officer for direct access to athletes. There will be a Chill-Out Zone in the Media Center, as well as an I-Zone near the Mixed Zone for more casual interviews with athletes pre and post competition.
