The CDN NS consists of four VNFs:

• The client: requests content from the cache node.
• The firewall: which limit the access to the load-balancer by allowing authorised access only.
• The load-balancer: distributes all the incoming requests from the client to the available caches
• The cache nodes: serve the incoming requests.

• Eventually, based on the increasing or decreasing number of clients who request the content from

the cache, the cache-nodes are to scale out or in. However, the bandwidth between the two datacentres has to be managed carefully as to accommodate the load of the content.
