Approximately 10,000 visitors view fireworks from the waterfront and several thousand from their homes with families and friends.

Fireworks Show – Funding

$80,000 total cost for 18-minute fireworks show

2018 Port of Vancouver’s contribution to costs $65,000 District of West Vancouver’s contribution to costs $15,000 2019 Port of Vancouver’s contribution to costs $55,000 District of West Vancouver’s contribution to costs $25,000

• $15,000 in annual Special Events budget
• $10,000 one-time funding request

2020 Proposed by the Port of Vancouver: Port of Vancouver’s contribution to costs $45,000 District of West Vancouver’s share of costs $35,000 Recommended by Staff: Port of Vancouver’s contribution to costs $45,000 District of West Vancouver’s share of costs $25,000 * Grants and Sponsorships $10,000 2021 onwards Port of Vancouver $0 District of West Vancouver $25,000 * Grants and Sponsorships $55,000
