ensuring the superb quality and exceptional security of the solution

"The Floating Piers" was on display for 16 days and was visited by more than 1.2 million

• people. BulDock delivered a

"floating reality" that realized Christo's decades-long vision of making people "walk on water".

B u l D o c k ' s t e a m w a s responsible for the entire beginning-to-end execution

• f the artistic concept -

manufacturing of the floating cubes, platform installation, anchoring of the formation and dismantling of the structure upon its’ closing.

It took 4 months and 226,000 BulDock floating cubes to bring Christo's art vision to life. We designed and built an underwater system with capacity to hold 220 anchors, weighing 5 tons each, in their positions with minimal deviation from the set coordinates. Part of the installation was implemented at depth of 92 meters, with 50-degree bottom slope. At the end, we produced a 3.2 km-long structure, which had never been done before, and provided a safe water walkway for over a million visitors.
